Free Widescreen Wallpapers -- How to Make Your Own From Public Domain Sources

Though there are many wallpaper sites on the Internet, few of them provide quality wallpapers in widescreen format. Instead of spending hours trying to find a great wallpaper for your monitor, here's an easy way you can make your own widescreen wallpaper for free using public domain images. First you need to navigate over to a United States government website for one of the armed forces (like the Navy). Once there, find their photo library and browse till you find an image you like. The images on these sites are public domain and can be used freely. Once you've found your image, download a high-res version and save that image to your computer. Using a graphics program like Photoshop, open the picture you downloaded. Once the image is loaded, select the crop tool. Set the crop settings to a standard widescreen resolution like 1680 x 1050 (make sure it is a resolution your monitor supports). Use the mouse and drag the crop outline over the most visually striking part of the image

A Brief History of Computer

Uninformed researchers of computer history would probably note the first computer in the mid 1930`s. In reality, this history dates nearly 2000 years ago with the invention of the abacus where the user programmed beads using formulated constructs. Although many historians caution against the use of the word computer except to define 20th century computers, a broader understanding illuminates an instrument designed by a Frenchman and which functioned as a calculator and was designed for a tax collector in the 1600`s. Improvements to this calculator continued through the 19th century. Similar work was underway in England and with the support of the government a `mechanical` calculator was invented. It was powered by steam and supported a fixed program for its use. This calculator went through many changes until an automatic calculator was invented. Following this flurry of discovery and invention, little changed until the early 1900`s when detailed mechanical and transportation work req

Japanese Developing Sex Robots

What propels human innovation? Well, we know where the funding comes from. We know that funding comes when a Return on Investment is available. What do people spend money on? Today they advertise them as maids, receptionists and servers. But in the true spirit of Kama Sutra, you can bet that those Japanese robotic engineers will soon be designing Blonde Hair Blue Eyed sex robots to serve their will. These Ja

Computer Training - Learning BASIC

I was one of thousands of people, back in the 1980s, who thought that computing was some sort of black art. It just seemed so clever that one could enter letters or numbers, which were then manipulated by some sort of unseen thought process. I found the whole idea fascinating and I wished that I had attended the sort of school progressive enough to teach computer programming, although I thought that it would take a much superior brain than mine, to make a computer do those amazing things. At that time, I had a friend who was something of a whiz with computers, to the extent that he could decipher huge dumps of paper covered with nothing but ones and zeros, and he persuaded me that it wasn't too late to learn and that the whole process was really very logical and simple. As a result of my friend's faith in my abilities, I signed up for an evening class in BASIC programming. BASIC is an acronym for Beginner's All-purpose Symbolic Instruction Code, which is a high level progra

Google's Higher Ranking

I was saying, the higher you are on search engines the more money you make. So, how will we accomplish that? Google has Google's LSI - Latent Semantic Indexing.... So we need to know how to make LSI work for us. A few years ago people could manipulate their position on search engines by method known as "Keyword Stuffing". They would "stuff" their websites with keywords while trying to discover perfect keyword density that would give their site a top ten ranking. Today, Google has developed more advanced algorithms, and only a few of Google's engineers know how they work. You will find various SEO (search engine optimization) tips on the net saying that you need to put your keywords in the title of your web page, in title of the post in tags...but even that nor a lots of visitors doesn't guarantee you higher position in search engines. Trough advanced algorithms and word association Google is able to tell if a page with a word "mouse" is about a
